Helpful Hearts Foundation was started by employees of Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel in Altoona, after seeing a need for this type of program. Serving over 600 families per year, they encounter numerous situations of genuine financial need. Families especially hit hard are those dealing with the loss of a child. Feeling that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity in death, Randall Mundt, owner of Stokes, Prock & Mundt, developed the idea of a non-profit organization to assist families in achieving this goal.
